The client had a vision of a quality medical fit out suitable to serve high profile patients in a discrete and safe environment. The space accommodates 9x consulting rooms, small theatre and treatment room, spacious reception and administration areas. All consulting rooms are generous in area, ergonomic and light filled.
SQC Architecture’s solution
The architecture recognises the design guidance of the Royal Australian College of General Practice, Rebirth of a Clinic. The multi zone reception area with discrete areas for patient orientation, waiting and administration are particularly successful and attractive. This was achieved by curved lines and a tasteful palette of materials including stone, timber veneers and quality carpet as well as beautiful colours and lighting. It complements the functional nature of the consulting rooms, the theatre and the treatment room.
