Project Brief

SQC Architecture were engaged by the client to give his home a new future and a new life.

SQCA’s approach was to give the exterior a comprehensive face lift by replacing windows, installing new cladding finishes and extending the eave to create a much larger covered entry. This was to give the exterior a more modern and updated look. A new deck and pergola with a curved roof replaced the existing deck and delivered a break from the straight lines of the main structure. Meanwhile, the interior was opened up and full refurbished. A new modern kitchen and open living area connects to the enclosed deck creating a very welcoming and informal living space. A more spacious and brighter living / dining space replaced the existing enclosed small dining and living rooms.  This substantial refurbishment also features a new underground cellar.
