GRADUATE OF ARCHITECTURE
Cornelius provides high level support to the senior professionals. He develops and resolves design documentation and co-ordinates input from internal and external contributors. From time to time he performs as the architect’s representative on site. He understands the project process very well and operates with a high level of communication skills.
Cornelius joined the SQCA team in January 2017 after 19 years in the federal Public Sector managing complex and diverse issues in legislative framework and policies from aerial firefighting to external- governance of Australia’s territories.
For a number of reasons, Cornelius did not follow his initial plans to take up architecture studies after completing secondary school but when the opportunity presented itself, he took the fork in the path to pursue his creative passion in late-2012. Armed with a strong work ethic and enthusiasm he set about acquiring his education in Architecture, which concluded at the end of 2019.
Cornelius’s goal is about ‘bringing spatial delight without breaking the bank’. He is motivated by the modernist tradition but tempered by the idea of place-making and human-centric design.
Cornelius is a, well-grounded and dedicated team member. He engages thoughtfully with the project brief and pursues well considered design solutions in every case.
Building his own home in 2000 enabled Cornelius to practically express his creative passion and became another catalyst to change career.
Outside of work Cornelius enjoys time with his family and relaxes by cycling when possible.
